Lisa’s Story

I began my career in acupuncture after a month-long trip to Chile where the majority of my time was split between the Hogar Maria Goretti and (need to get the name), two children’s homes in the vibrant coastline city of Valparaiso. This experience brought me face-to-face with the unfulfilling, taxing life I led in New York's fashion industry. Although glamorous and fun, I didn’t feel I was making the kind of impact I was meant to be making. It was with this realization I was able to connect with my vision for the future. (maybe keep or lose the previous sentence)

I most honored myself when helping others.

I fell in love with the holistic nature of Chinese medicine, which sees the mind, body, and spirit as one. What's so special about acupuncture is that it lets us tackle [target] a problem from all angles. The body isn't a collection of separate parts. It's a web of a system that echoes [something]-- a running injury flares up as headaches, stress crawls out as back pain, and dissatisfaction cloaks itself as anxiety. Acupuncture allows and accounts for this interconnection by not only alleviating symptoms, but also rooting out the underlying disharmony that's causing those symptoms in the first place.

Everyday, I get to walk beside people as they find wholeness, cheer them on as they shed old habits, and help them harness their own healing potential.

Nearly a decade after [redefining my vision and] stepping into my role as a acupuncturist and healer, I'm still evolving. I love that through my practice, I'm able to pass along my learnings to others. It is the greatest gift to help empower people to take charge of their health and, in turn, their lives.
